The following movies and television programs contain dialogue that is offensive to persons who have  developmental disabilities, in particular, the use of the 'r' words retard and retarded.  Those persons, their family members, friends, and advocates may review this listing prior to watching or buying a program to determine if it is suitable for viewing.  As other movies and television programs are identified, they will be added to this list.  

 

Some of the movies have a ** designation.  Viewing these programs may make persons who have developmental disabilities very uncomfortable, however, the programs may be acceptable for viewing by them, their families, friends and advocates due to themes regarding treatment of persons who have disabling conditions.
